This is not meant to be a fast or whimsical activity.  Take your time.  Look at the images.  Consider what is being depicted and why the artist may have chosen to do so.  Does the painting technique sharpen or soften the subject?

Copy and paste one of the images into a Word document.  Write a reflection about the painting. Include:

1. Why did this painting standout to you from all the others on the web site?
2. What is the subject of this paining?
3. How do the colors and style of the piece enhance or detract from a viewer’s experience of the painting?
4. Why do you think so many significant works of art exist on the topic of war?
5. How do you feel when you view the paining you chose, as well as collectively, all the other paintings on this web site?
