Foundations of Tech Description

Mr. Denton

In this lab based course, you'll have opportunities to learn about the
characteristics of technology in a variety of field s including: manufacturing,
biotechnology, and engineering. You'll explore the how technology has
influenced history. You'll learn about the relationships and connections
between technology and other fields of study.

In addition, Foundations of Technology students develop an understanding
of the attributes of design while developing their skills in using the design
process to solve technological problems. Positive attitudes about safety
and skills used to research, problem solve, prototype, test, and present
technical presentations are essential as you work collaboratively with
others in your projects.

Students in Foundations of Technology have completed their latest project. The students were challenged to create a bridge that was cost efficient and would support a given load.

While constructing bridges, students considered efficiency in terms of the weight of the bridge compared to the weight that the bridge can support.
